Fish Policy:

We love catching fish and we love eating fish. Our goal is to cut enough fish for each paying customer to have 1-2 meals while they are here. Species of fish being cut will be at the captain’s discretion. With a short shelf life there is no processing of fish to take back to the mainland. Fish over 40 pounds will not be cut, they go to market which helps keep the charter price down (this is customary with all fishing charters in Hawaii). In the event that you only catch one fish over 40 pounds we will meet up with you the following day and bring you a piece of your fish cut out by the market. Majority of the time we send you home with fish to eat that day, we want all of our guests to enjoy fresh fish while they are here.

Tipping:

Tipping captain and crew is customary here in Hawaii. We recommend that you tip 20% off the charter price just like you would do in a restaurant. We want to provide you with the best charter experience possible and tipping us lets us know we did an awesome job.

Motion Sickness:

If you are prone to motion sickness this probably isn’t the best activity for you. If you aren’t sure that you’ll get motion sickness there are over-the-counter remedies such as Dramamine and Bonine that work well if taken correctly. There is no refunding of trips returning early due to illness.

Weather Conditions:

Captains will make the decision to cancel due to weather conditions. We will never take you out in dangerous situations. When  fishing in Hawaii weather can change from hour to hour. If we cancel due to weather conditions there will be no charge and we will try our best to reschedule your trip. Typical weather here in the islands are 15-20 mph trade winds out of the NE and 5-7 swells.

How Long Of A Fishing Trip Should I Book:

Typically when fishing, the more time spent on the water the greater your chances of success. We offer 4, 6, or 8 hour trips. 4 hour charters are better for families with young children. While longer charters allow us to explore a wider area and gives us the opportunity to try out different fishing methods, should the conditions allow it.
